The Moroccan National Tourism Office (MNTO) has confirmed its participation at OTM 2026, scheduled from February 5 to 7 at the Jio World Convention Centre, BKC, Mumbai, as Morocco continues to see exceptional growth from the Indian market.
Morocco recorded a historic 19.8 million international tourist arrivals, marking a 14 per cent increase year-on-year and reaffirming its position as Africa’s leading tourism destination.
India has emerged as a high-growth source market for the Kingdom, with 53,697 Indian visitors recorded, reflecting a 31 per cent year-on-year rise and a significant 224 per cent increase compared to 2019 levels. The sustained surge highlights a long-term shift in travel preferences among Indian travellers towards Morocco’s blend of heritage, luxury and immersive experiences.
Commenting on the momentum, Jamal Kilito, Country Manager – India, MNTO, said the strong growth from India underscores the market’s strategic importance for Morocco. He noted that MNTO’s presence at OTM 2026 will focus on deepening engagement with Indian travel trade partners and building sustainable collaborations.
At OTM 2026, MNTO is expected to spotlight Morocco’s contemporary tourism offerings alongside its rich cultural craftsmanship, aiming to strengthen destination visibility and trade connect across the Indian market.
