Kuwait-based carrier Jazeera Airways has expanded its India operations, reinforcing air connectivity between Kuwait and key Indian cities amid ongoing regional challenges.
The airline has introduced new routes to Ahmedabad and Thiruvananthapuram, further strengthening its India network. With this addition, Jazeera Airways now serves eight destinations across the country, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Kochi.
Highlighting the significance of the move, CEO Barathan Pasupathi said the expansion goes beyond network growth, focusing on reconnecting families and supporting the large Indian expatriate community in Kuwait.
Currently, Jazeera Airways remains the only airline operating flights between Kuwait and India under prevailing conditions, underscoring its critical role in maintaining essential air links.
Since resuming services on March 20, the airline has facilitated travel for over 1,300 passengers, addressing urgent travel requirements during a period of constrained capacity. The expansion also aligns with heightened demand ahead of the Eid travel season.
Passengers are being served through a structured travel process, including check-in at designated facilities in Kuwait followed by transfers to Qaisumah Airport for onward journeys.
The move further strengthens the India–Kuwait air corridor, offering enhanced capacity, improved flexibility, and vital connectivity during a challenging phase for global aviation.
