Minor Hotels, a global hospitality group with a portfolio of over 640 properties, has marked its most successful year to date with ten of its hotels featured in the 2026 T+L 500 list by Travel + Leisure, recognising the world’s best hotels. The achievement reflects a significant increase over the previous year and highlights the strength and diversity of the group’s luxury portfolio across Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Americas.
Asia led the recognition with five properties under the Anantara Hotels & Resorts portfolio. In Vietnam, Anantara Hoi An Resort was acknowledged for its riverside setting within a UNESCO-listed heritage town and its immersive cultural experiences, while Anantara Quy Nhon Villas earned praise for its personalised villa host service and refined barefoot luxury. In Sri Lanka, Anantara Kalutara Resort, located between lagoon and ocean on the final project site of renowned architect Geoffrey Bawa, was recognised for its distinctive design, alongside Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort, noted for its clifftop setting and culinary experiences. Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas was also featured, continuing its recognition as one of the Indian Ocean’s most iconic luxury destinations.
In Europe, two Italian properties were honoured, including Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel, a restored 13th-century monastery on the Amalfi Coast, and Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome Hotel, a landmark property overlooking Piazza della Repubblica in Rome. Across Africa and the Middle East, Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort was recognised for bringing resort-style tranquillity to an urban setting, while Kilindi Zanzibar, part of the Elewana Collection, was celebrated for its intimate pavilion-style architecture and reputation as one of East Africa’s leading boutique retreats. In South America, Tivoli Mofarrej São Paulo Hotel further strengthened its position among Brazil’s top urban luxury hotels.
“To see ten of our properties recognised in the T+L 500 underlines the scale and quality of our global luxury portfolio,” said Dillip Rajakarier, Group CEO of Minor International. “It reflects the breadth of what we’re doing in luxury today, and the consistency with which those experiences are resonating with guests across our brands and regions.”
