Gattinoni Business Travel Appoints Fausto Portelli as General Manager, Organisation and Transformation

Italian travel management company Gattinoni Business Travel has announced the appointment of Fausto Portelli to the newly created role of General Manager, Organisation and Transformation, as part of the company’s strategy to strengthen future growth and operational expansion.

Portelli joins Gattinoni Business Travel from ACI Blueteam, where he most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of Travel4Business. Prior to that, he held the position of Corporate Travel Director for four years. With more than two decades of experience in the travel industry, Portelli has also had a long-standing career with Milan-based Globe Travel.

The appointment forms part of a broader organisational restructuring initiative aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and accelerating business growth within the corporate travel division.

At the same time, former Corporate Travel Director Elena Carlino has been promoted to the newly created role of General Manager, Growth and Partnerships. In her expanded responsibilities, she will lead strategic growth initiatives for enterprise clients while overseeing partnerships and supplier agreements to strengthen the company’s market position.

Fausto Portelli will work closely with the company’s operational and business teams to improve internal processes, strengthen organisational structures, and support the continued development of corporate travel operations.

Commenting on the leadership changes, Elena Carlino said she was excited to begin this new professional chapter alongside Portelli.

“I am proud to share this professional journey with Fausto Portelli. He brings experience, vision, and passion. I am also proud to contribute to the management of partnerships and business development to support and create value for the future growth of Gattinoni Business Travel,” she said.

The new leadership appointments highlight Gattinoni Business Travel’s continued focus on transformation, strategic partnerships, and operational innovation as demand for evolving corporate travel services continues to grow across the European market.
