Singapore Tourism Board Hits One Million Indian Visitors Milestone in 2024, Two Months Ahead of Last Year

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) announced today that Indian visitor arrivals surpassed one million on October 31, two months earlier than in 2023. This milestone was marked by the arrival of Singapore Airlines flight SQ-421 from Mumbai at Changi Airport, reflecting a 12% rise in Indian visitors from January to October 2024.

STB’s Regional Director Markus Tan credited the growth to expanded partnerships in India, including a MoU with PhonePe for UPI transactions, a MakeMyTrip collaboration, and an exclusive travel series with actress Ananya Panday. Key stakeholders, including Singapore Airlines, Sentosa Development Corporation, and Changi Airport, underscored their commitment to further enhancing connectivity and experiences for Indian travelers.

Upcoming attractions in Singapore include “Harry Potter: Visions of Magic” on November 22, Singapore Art Week in 2025, and Disney Adventure cruises in December 2025.
