Goa Tourism is gearing up to participate in the Tashkent International Tourism Fair (TITF) 2024, taking place from November 21 to 23 at CAEx, Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This global tourism platform will see Goa promoting its diverse travel offerings, focusing on sustainable and regenerative tourism practices.
The delegation, led by Hon’ble Tourism Minister Shri Rohan A. Khaunte, will highlight Goa’s rich cultural heritage, stunning beaches, and emerging hinterland and ecotourism opportunities. The state aims to position itself as a holistic destination, emphasizing wellness, adventure, heritage, and spiritual tourism while fostering environmental and community benefits.
Shri Khaunte stated, “Goa aims to set an example in sustainable tourism, transforming the state into a movement for responsible travel.” He added that TITF 2024 provides a platform to connect with global stakeholders and showcase Goa’s unique tourism model.
With the recent launch of direct flights between Tashkent and Goa via the Airbus A320 Neo, Goa is well-placed to enhance connectivity and boost tourist inflow from Uzbekistan and neighboring regions. Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Director of Tourism, emphasized that Goa’s participation will showcase offbeat experiences, further diversifying its appeal beyond beaches.
The Indian Embassy in Tashkent is actively supporting the initiative, with Goa Tourism’s stall expected to attract significant attention from industry professionals and potential collaborators.
This event aligns with Goa’s vision of leveraging tourism as a tool for sustainable social and economic growth. By participating in TITF 2024, Goa Tourism aims to expand its global reach and set benchmarks in regenerative tourism practices.
