Kerala Tourism has unveiled a multilingual microsite and an e-brochure dedicated to Sabarimala, enhancing pilgrim tourism with comprehensive resources. The initiatives were launched by Tourism and Public Works Minister Shri PA Mohamed Riyas on Wednesday.
The microsite, available in English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada, provides detailed information about Sabarimala’s traditions, customs, culture, and geography. It also features short videos, a detailed route map, nearby temple details, accommodation options, and a gallery with hundreds of Sabarimala-related images.
“The microsite and e-brochure are vital steps towards integrating heritage and historical temples into tourism, especially as pilgrim tourism gains prominence globally,” said Minister Riyas, adding that more projects to boost pilgrim tourism are underway.
The e-brochure serves as a virtual travel guide, offering tips on planning pilgrimages, accommodation options, contact details of authorities, and an in-depth guide to Sabarimala’s customs, traditions, and history. Designed for easy access and sharing on smartphones, it aims to provide pilgrims with a seamless travel experience.
Tourism Director Smt Sikha Surendran emphasized the credibility and utility of these resources, stating they will help pilgrims plan safe and informed trips. Responsible Tourism Mission Society CEO Shri K Roopesh Kumar also attended the launch event.
