AirAsia and TAT Launch Campaign to Promote 16 Diverse Destinations in Thailand

AirAsia has partnered with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to encourage travel beyond Thailand’s major tourist hubs by promoting 16 regional destinations. As part of the initiative, the airline is offering special fares starting at 880 THB for one-way trips, with bookings open from March 3 to March 9, 2025, for travel between March 10 and September 30, 2025.

The campaign, aligned with TAT’s “Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025”, aims to spread tourism benefits across all regions. To engage younger travelers, each destination is paired with a musical genre to reflect its unique atmosphere—Hip Hop for adventure, Pop for relaxation, and Rock for cultural exploration.

The 16 featured destinations span Thailand’s four regions, including Chiang Rai, Nan, and Lampang in the north; Udon Thani, Buriram, and Roi Et in the northeast; Nakhon Si Thammarat, Trang, and Ranong in the south; and others. Flights to Udon Thani will be available from both Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi airports for added convenience.

TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool highlighted that the initiative supports sustainable tourism by connecting major cities to emerging destinations, ensuring economic benefits for local communities. Thai AirAsia CEO Santisuk Klongchaiya emphasized the airline’s commitment to domestic travel, stating that these lesser-known cities offer unique experiences suited to modern travelers.

By combining affordable flights, cultural tourism, and music-driven marketing, AirAsia and TAT aim to inspire travelers to explore Thailand’s hidden gems while supporting local economies.
