
Austrian Airlines has announced its 2026 summer schedule, introducing seven new short- and medium-haul destinations across Europe and beyond, promising travellers a season filled with variety, discovery, and authentic experiences.The airline will operate 133 destinations worldwide (113 short- and medium-haul, 20 long-haul) between March 29 and October 24, 2026, expanding from 127 in 2025.The new additions include Ponta Delgada (Azores), Alicante and Bilbao (Spain), Bastia (Corsica), Ohrid (North Macedonia), Mytilene (Lesbos, Greece), and Bergen (Norway) — each offering unique landscapes and cultural charm.“With our 2026 summer schedule, we are strengthening connections to popular Mediterranean destinations while expanding into exciting new regions – ensuring our guests can look forward to a summer full of variety and discovery,” said Annette Mann, CEO, Austrian Airlines.The airline’s expanded Mediterranean focus includes 21 destinations in Greece, 11 in Spain, and 14 in Italy, complemented by increased frequencies to Barcelona, Málaga, Funchal, and Tenerife.Reflecting the growing “coolcation” trend, Austrian Airlines has added Bergen to its Nordic network, bringing the total to 13 weekly flights to Norway, alongside Oslo, Tromsø, and the Lofoten Islands.To ensure stability and sufficient capacity, two additional aircraft from partner airBaltic will be added for the summer schedule.The airline’s long-haul portfolio remains strong, offering 20 direct destinations across Asia, Africa, and North America, including Bangkok, Tokyo, Mauritius, Los Angeles, and Montreal.With this strategic expansion, Austrian Airlines continues to reaffirm its commitment to Vienna as its home base and to offering travellers new horizons of exploration in 2026.
