Conference highlights opportunities for Defence personnel in MSME service industry

On the occasion of International MSME Day, the Chamber of Service Industry recently organized a conference in New Delhi, focusing on the emerging ventures in the MSME service industry sector. The event highlighted the suitability of defence personnel for roles in tourism, hospitality, retail, management, security, wellness, environmental protection, and other service industry segments.

The conference was graced by Mercy Epao, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, who served as the Chief Guest. Arun Srivastava, Joint Director General of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, was the Special Guest of Honour. The event also featured insightful addresses by Dr. Subhash Goyal, President of the Chamber for Service Industry, Brigadier Inder Mohan Singh, President of the Indian Ex-Servicemen League, and Col. Tejandra Pal Tyagi, President of the Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha, among other industry experts.

The conference drew a large gathering of defence personnel and their spouses, marking it as the first of its kind in India to focus specifically on the MSME service industry. The speakers emphasized the unique skills and experiences of defence personnel that make them exceptionally well-suited for various roles within the service industry.
