Goa Welcomes First Charter Flight of 2025–26 Tourism Season

Signalling a vibrant start to the new tourism season, Goa received its first international charter flight from Almaty, Kazakhstan, marking the opening of the 2025–26 inbound season. The aircraft landed at Dabolim Airport with enthusiastic tourists onboard, setting the tone for a strong revival of international leisure traffic to India’s coastal state.

The arrival underscores Goa’s growing popularity among Central Asian travellers and the state’s continued efforts to diversify its source markets beyond Europe and Russia. Tourism officials confirmed that several charter operators from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Poland, and the UK have already confirmed rotations for the season ahead.

Industry stakeholders view the development as a welcome boost for hospitality, transport, and local experiences. Resorts across South and North Goa are preparing curated itineraries combining beaches, wellness, and heritage exploration to meet the tastes of new travellers.

With improved airport infrastructure and digital visa facilitation, Goa aims to cross its pre-pandemic charter arrival numbers by early 2026. Tour operators are optimistic that the surge in flight connections will extend average tourist stays and revive local enterprises dependent on winter tourism.

The charter season opening reinforces Goa’s position as India’s gateway to international leisure markets.
