
In a significant step towards strengthening tourism ties between India and Japan, the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Okinawa-India Friendship Association (OIFA) and the Onna Village Tourism Association of Japan. The agreement was formalized in New Delhi today to enhance mutual cooperation in the tourism sector.

The MoU was signed by *Mr. Rajiv Mehra, President of IATO, **Mr. Moritake Tomikawa, President of OIFA, and **Ms. Rumiko Miyazaki, Chairperson of Onna Village Tourism Association. The event was attended by **Mr. Yoshimi Nagahama, Mayor of Onna Village, and *Mr. Ravi Gosain, Vice President of IATO.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Rajiv Mehra highlighted the strong and friendly relations between India and Japan, emphasizing the immense potential for increasing tourist flow between the two nations. He stated, “The interests of IATO, OIFA, and Onna Village Tourism Association align perfectly. This MoU will serve as a platform to boost both inbound and outbound tourism, benefiting both countries.”
