The government of India has approved the appointment of 2015-batch IAS officer Lalithambigai K of Manipur cadre as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism. The order was issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), to appoint her under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.
Officer Lalithambigai K had previously served as Joint Secretary in the Department of Textile Commerce & Industries under the government of Manipur.
