LOT Polish Airlines to Launch Daily Flights to Thessaloniki from June 2025

LOT Polish Airlines, a member of the Star Alliance, has announced the launch of daily flights to Thessaloniki, Greece’s second-largest city, starting June 17, 2025. The new route will connect passengers from LOT’s hub in Warsaw to Thessaloniki, a city known for its rich history, vibrant culture, and proximity to beautiful beaches and ancient landmarks.

The airline will offer two departure schedules from Warsaw to provide flexibility for travelers. Flights will depart on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 9:40 AM, arriving in Thessaloniki at 12:55 PM. On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, flights will depart at 2:05 PM, arriving at 5:05 PM. Return flights from Thessaloniki will follow similar timings. During the winter season, the frequency will be adjusted to four weekly flights to accommodate seasonal demand.

Indian travellers can look forward to seamless connectivity to Thessaloniki via Warsaw. For instance, flights from Delhi to Thessaloniki on specific days will have a total travel time of approximately 11 hours and 55 minutes, including a brief layover in Warsaw. LOT Polish Airlines also offers direct flights from Delhi and Mumbai to Warsaw, providing convenient options for connections across Europe and beyond.

Thessaloniki is a prominent hub for international shipping and trade and serves as a gateway to cultural landmarks such as the Meteora monasteries and the Chalcidice region’s inviting beaches. Its unique blend of historical significance and coastal charm makes it an attractive destination for both leisure and business travellers.

Amit Ray, Director for India and DACH Markets at LOT Polish Airlines, emphasized the importance of this new route, stating, “Thessaloniki is an exciting addition to our network, offering passengers more travel choices in Europe. This launch reflects our commitment to sustainable growth and connecting destinations with high cultural and economic importance.”

With its modern fleet, including the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, LOT Polish Airlines continues to strengthen its position as a leading carrier connecting Central and Eastern Europe to global destinations.
