LOT Polish Airlines to Launch Year-Round Flights from Warsaw to Almaty from 31 May 2026

LOT Polish Airlines, a Star Alliance member, is expanding its Central Asia network by adding Almaty, Kazakhstan, as a new year-round destination. Starting 31 May 2026, the Polish carrier will operate four weekly flights (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday) on a Boeing 737 MAX 8 with two service classes. During the winter schedule, flights will run three times a week.

Almaty becomes LOT’s second destination in Kazakhstan, after the capital, Astana. The overnight flights depart from Warsaw Chopin Airport at 22:40h and arrive in Almaty at 08:00h, with the return flight leaving at 09:20h.

“With the new air service and attractive feeder flights, we are setting a further accent in Central Asia,” said Robert Ludera, Head of Network Planning at LOT Polish Airlines. “Almaty is not only an economic hub but also a tourist gateway to the Silk Road.”

The city, with a population of around two million, offers attractions like the Green Bazaar, the newly opened Museum of Arts, and the Shymbulak mountain, a prime winter sports destination. Nearby natural sites include Great Almaty Lake, Sharyn Gorge, and Kolsai National Park.
