OYO offers 65% discounts as Indonesia eyes record Indian tourists

Global hospitality technology company OYO has announced upto 65% discount for Indian tourists planning to travel to Indonesia during the festive period. The scheme is available from 1st Oct and guests can book their stay until December 31, 2024.

OYO has a network of more than 3000 properties across Indonesia that includes popular tourist hotspots such as Bali, Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Bandung, Medan, Surabaya and Tangerang. These high traffic locations serve as major attractions for Indian tourists looking for tranquil beachside retreat, an urban adventure, a cultural escape or business.

OYO’s network of company serviced hotels is expanding rapidly in Indonesia. These hotels are operated by OYO’s most professional hotel operators with the company’s active involvement in their operation. Most of these hotels are premium brands such as Belvilla homes and mid-premium brands such as Townhouse, Collection O etc.

OYO has also launched its Belvilla holiday homes recently in Bali to kickstart its ambitious plans to elevate the vacation rental experience for travellers. India is ranked in the fifth place of international tourists visiting Indonesia and second place visiting Bali.

Speaking on the development, Ankit Tandon, Global Chief Business Officer and CEO, Southeast Asia & Middle East (SEAME), OYO said, “Indonesia is one of our largest markets outside of India, and we are pleased to support the government in achieving its target for Indian tourist arrivals this year. Indonesia has seen a significant 28% growth in the number of Indian tourists from January to July this year and received 4.18 lakh visitors against the target of 6.71 lakh. Going by the trend, the Indonesian government is confident of surpassing their target this year and preparing to receive one million Indian tourists by December 2024. The government is focusing on Gen Z, wedding parties, education tours by schools and colleges and businessmen.

This surge highlights the increasing popularity of Indonesia, particularly destinations like Bali, among Indian travellers. The rise can be attributed to improved connectivity with direct flights from Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore etc. to some of the most popular destinations in Indonesia.
