Qatar Airways has announced the launch of its next-generation AI-powered in-flight entertainment system, debuting on its Boeing 777-9 fleet during the 55th International Paris Air Show. Powered by Panasonic Avionics’ cutting-edge Converix platform, this innovation marks a significant leap forward in delivering a digitally-enabled, hyper-personalised, and intelligent onboard experience—further strengthening Qatar Airways’ reputation for excellence in passenger service.
The new entertainment platform, designed to seamlessly integrate with the aircraft environment, enables passengers to control key aspects of their in-flight journey through one smart, connected system. Leveraging advanced artificial intelligence, the platform personalises content and settings at the seat level, offering dynamic recommendations based on individual preferences, while providing a fully connected digital environment throughout the flight.
Qatar Airways, recently crowned the World’s Best Airline by Skytrax for the ninth time in 2025 and holding the title for World’s Best Business Class, continues to push the boundaries of innovation and luxury. “Our new platform is more than just a technological upgrade—it is a game changer that will completely redefine entertainment in the sky,” said Ms. Xia Cai, Senior Vice President, Product Development. “With every new milestone, we continue to shape the future of travel and move forward at 35,000 feet and beyond.”
This digital-first platform introduces a modular and scalable system architecture, ensuring consistency and adaptability across all aircraft types in Qatar Airways’ fleet. By standardising content management and introducing advanced AI capabilities, the airline is laying the groundwork for continuous innovation and enhanced passenger engagement.
The launch of this system reflects Qatar Airways’ broader strategy of digital transformation and product evolution, aimed at delivering superior, intelligent services and redefining how passengers experience travel in the modern era.
