Sikhar Fleet has announced a strategic partnership with Moto Business Service India (MBSI) to develop a more structured and scalable vehicle leasing ecosystem for India’s fast-growing mobility sector.
The collaboration aims to combine Sikhar Fleet’s on-ground operational network with MBSI’s expertise in vehicle leasing, asset management and mobility financing to address key challenges within India’s shared mobility and driver leasing market.
The India-focused initiative is expected to support ride-hailing platforms, gig economy drivers, mobility aggregators and institutional fleet operators through transparent leasing structures, improved vehicle access and technology-led fleet management solutions.
According to the companies, the partnership will focus on introducing globally benchmarked leasing practices and stronger financial frameworks aimed at improving reliability, operational efficiency and driver sustainability across the mobility ecosystem.
Dharampal Jadoun, Co-Founder of Sikhar Fleet, said the model has been designed to improve driver earnings and reduce uncertainty by offering transparent leasing terms, fixed payment structures and lower upfront costs. He added that the initiative seeks to create a more stable and growth-oriented environment for driver-partners.
Kobayashi Masaharu, CEO and Managing Director of MBSI, said the partnership reflects the company’s long-term sustainability vision while also supporting employment generation and wider access to mobility solutions in India. The collaboration will also include deployment of Tata Express-T CNG vehicles as part of the initiative’s cleaner mobility approach.
Industry observers believe organised leasing models could play an increasingly important role in India’s expanding mobility and gig economy sector, particularly as demand rises for flexible transport solutions and professionally managed fleet operations.
