TAFI Opens Registration for Vietnam Convention at Ninh Binh

Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) has officially opened registrations for its upcoming convention, set to be held in the scenic Ninh Bình Province of Vietnam from January 17 to 20, 2024. Centered around the theme “Tourism for Tomorrow: Protecting the Planet,” the convention highlights the growing importance of sustainability in the global tourism sector.

Welcoming the TAFI delegates, Mr. Le Quang Bien, Consul General of Vietnam in Mumbai, shared his excitement, He said “We are honored to welcome the TAFI Convention 2025 in the beautiful province of Ninh Binh, a destination that truly represents the natural and cultural heritage of Vietnam. This event reflects the deepening ties between Vietnam and India, as tourism plays a vital role in strengthening our relationship. We greatly value the efforts of TAFI in promoting lesser-explored destinations like Ninh Binh to Indian travellers, who are increasingly choosing Vietnam for their journeys. The theme, ‘Tourism for Tomorrow: Protecting the Planet,’ aligns perfectly with Vietnam’s commitment to sustainable tourism and preserving our environment for future generations. We look forward to showcasing the unique experiences that Vietnam has to offer and welcoming TAFI delegates to discover the charm and hospitality of Ninh Binh. Together, we can inspire a new wave of responsible tourism that benefits both our people and the planet.”

TAFI President Ajay Prakash highlighted the booming Indian tourism industry and the need for eco-friendly practices, stating, “Sustainability is the industry’s most pressing need, and TAFI aims to lead the change.” He also praised Vietnam’s growing popularity among Indian travelers, noting that Ninh Binh offers a unique, lesser-explored destination.

Anil Kalsi, Vice President added “The Provincial Government of Ninh Binh has been extremely supportive and the Department of Tourism has laid out the red carpet for TAFI delegates. Our members can look forward to a memorable Convention.”

The convention, priced at ₹15,999 per person on twin sharing, includes a three-night stay, with shuttle services provided between Hanoi airport and Ninh Binh. Delegates can also explore pre- and post-convention tours to Da Nang, Bana Hills, Halong Bay, and Ho Tram beach, with special deals arranged by Destination Management Companies.

Participation is limited to 400 delegates, with registrations open until December 6 under the Early Bird offer. National General Secretary Abbas Moiz and Treasurer Hitank Shah assured smooth logistics, while Convention Chairman Seeraj Sabharwal promised engaging content, delicious cuisine, and exciting entertainment.

This event underscores TAFI’s commitment to promoting sustainable tourism and discovering new destinations.
