Vietjet Named World’s Fastest-Growing Airline Brand in 2026

Vietjet Air has been recognised as the world’s fastest-growing airline brand in 2026, with its brand value surging 117% year-on-year to reach approximately US$906 million.

The sharp rise reflects the Vietnamese carrier’s aggressive international expansion strategy, growing ancillary revenue model and sustained operational performance across Asia-Pacific markets.

The airline has significantly expanded its footprint across key international destinations including India, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia and Kazakhstan, while maintaining passenger load factors above 86%.

Vietjet’s ancillary businesses — including baggage, onboard services and add-on products — now contribute around 41% of total revenue, underlining the strength of its low-cost commercial model.

The carrier currently operates a fleet of more than 135 aircraft across 254 routes spanning Asia-Pacific and Australia, while also preparing for future expansion into Europe and the United States.

To support long-term growth, Vietjet has placed major aircraft orders including 100 Airbus A321neo aircraft with options for 50 additional units, alongside 20 Airbus A330neo widebody aircraft.

The airline has also strengthened partnerships with major global engine manufacturers including Rolls-Royce, CFM International and Pratt & Whitney.

In 2025, Vietjet carried 28.2 million passengers across more than 153,000 flights, generating consolidated revenues of approximately US$3.11 billion. Net profit rose more than 51% year-on-year.

Industry observers say Vietjet is increasingly emerging as a major global low-cost challenger brand, following a growth trajectory comparable to carriers such as AirAsia and IndiGo while rapidly expanding its international profile.
