In a major step towards strengthening the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sector, West Bengal Tourism signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with key industry stakeholders at 11:00 a.m. The tri-party agreement, represented by Abhishek Kumar Tiwary (IAS), Nandini Chakravorty (IAS), Soumitra Sankar Sengupta, and Anuj Wadhwa (Executive Director, ICPB), aims to drive innovation, trade relations, and tourism growth in Bengal.
The MoU was signed between West Bengal Tourism and the following six organizations:
- Alpcord Network Travel & Conferences Management Co.
- IA Meetings (Mr. Amit Saroj)
- AIDS Society of India
- Indian Dental Association, Central Delhi Branch (Prof. Sanjay Miglani, President)
- Indian Society of Blood Transfusion and Immunohaematology (ISBTI) (Dr. Yudhir Singh Khyalia, President)
- Dr. Ashok Gupta, Director, Institute of Rare Diseases, MGUMST Jaipur & Executive Director, International Neonatology Association, Geneva
This strategic collaboration is set to boost medical conferences, exhibitions, and business tourism in West Bengal, further positioning the state as a premier MICE destination in India.
