Kuwait-based Jazeera Airways has announced a record-breaking financial performance for 2024, reporting a net profit of KD 10.2 million, a significant 66.2% increase from the previous year. The airline’s operating revenue grew by 5.3% to KD 208.6 million, while EBIT surged by 46.8% to KD 17.3 million, driven by strong passenger demand and improved operational efficiency.
Passenger numbers surpassed 4.9 million, reflecting a 5.1% increase from 2023, with a high load factor of 78.4%. In Q4 2024 alone, Jazeera Airways recorded an operating revenue of KD 45.1 million, marking a 15% rise, while quarterly losses were reduced by 41.5% to KD 4.2 million due to revenue growth and enhanced cost management. The Board of Directors has recommended a dividend distribution of 40 fils per share, reflecting the company’s strong financial position.

Operationally, 2024 was a milestone year for Jazeera Airways, marking its third consecutive year as the most active airline at Kuwait International Airport, with 18,374 aircraft movements. Despite geopolitical challenges and global IT disruptions, the airline improved its On-Time Performance (OTP) from 74% in 2023 to 86% in 2024. The airline also renewed its IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification, reinforcing its commitment to high safety standards.
Jazeera expanded its network by adding new leisure routes to Krakow, Poland, and Batumi, Georgia, along with the relaunch of Bhairahawa, Nepal. Fleet expansion included the acquisition of six Airbus A320 CEOs, aimed at cost reduction and operational efficiency. Enhancements in customer experience included upgraded in-flight meals, flexible baggage options, and the introduction of Travel Cash, a seamless foreign currency solution. Sustainability remained a priority, with Jazeera ranking third globally in Open Airlines SkyBreathe efficiency for fuel-saving initiatives.
For the second consecutive year, Jazeera Airways was recognized as an “Employee Wellness Advocate” at the HR Excellence Awards, highlighting its commitment to workplace well-being. With a strong financial outlook and continued growth strategies, Jazeera Airways is set to enhance its services and market presence in 2025.
