As global tourism faces mounting pressure due to geopolitical tensions, evolving travel regulations, and shifting consumer expectations, the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) is taking a proactive step by organizing a high-level virtual panel discussion titled “Turning Tides: Navigating Upcoming Tourism Trends.” The session, scheduled for Tuesday, 20 May 2025, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM IST, aims to unite key voices from the Indian tourism industry to shape the future of travel amid uncertainty. With the ongoing Indo-Pak conflict raising new concerns across the sector, the event is both timely and necessary, reinforcing the belief that the tourism industry thrives not only on destinations but on collective determination and strategic innovation.
The panel will feature distinguished industry leaders including Mr. Ajeet Bajaj, President of ATOAI and a pioneer in sustainable and adventure tourism; Mr. Dhruv Shringi, Co-Founder & CEO of Yatra Online, Inc., known for his expertise in digital travel trends and consumer behavior; and Mr. Ajay Prakash, President of the Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI), who brings a global outlook and in-depth knowledge of international travel dynamics. Together, they will explore how the tourism sector can adapt to changing times through collaboration, innovation, and resilience.
Mr. Ajeet Bajaj emphasized the importance of this dialogue, stating, “The tourism industry has weathered many storms and every time, we have emerged stronger. We are at another such inflection point, offering us the chance to pause, reset, and reimagine.” This virtual platform is designed not only to address current concerns but also to generate strategic insights that will drive the future of tourism in India and beyond.
