
Tourism India Alliance (TIA) has concluded a landmark Study cum FAM trip to Georgia in September 2025, bringing together a delegation of 16 top travel agents and tour operators from across India. Led by Mr Jaspreet Singh Bhatia and Mr Lalit Kumar Poddar, and supported by Kazin DMC, Air Astana, and Silk Hospitality, the initiative aimed to deepen bilateral tourism ties and spotlight Georgia’s diverse destination strengths for Indian travellers.
The week-long program took delegates through Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi, Kakheti (Telavi), and Lapota Lake, allowing them to experience Georgia’s vibrant culture, scenic landscapes, modern infrastructure, and rising prominence as a leisure and MICE hotspot. Exclusive property visits and curated cultural experiences revealed the country’s readiness to host Indian groups and events, further solidifying its status as a preferred destination for both holidaymakers and the meetings industry.
TIA’s leadership praised the outstanding hospitality and coordination by Silk Hospitality and Kazin DMC, calling the showcase a transformative opportunity to build awareness among Indian travel professionals. Mr. Jaspreet Singh Bhatia, VP – TIA, remarked that the trip was an “eye-opener,” with Georgia’s warmth and arrangements leaving delegates eager to promote the destination. Mr. Lalit Kumar Poddar emphasized the crucial support from Air Astana and Kazin DMC, noting that such collaborations are driving new business opportunities within the sector.
The Georgia FAM trip marks another milestone in TIA’s dedication to empowering Indian travel trade through knowledge sharing, international partnerships, and destination showcases.
