In a move set to boost travel and tourism between India and Central Asia, Uzbekistan Airways is launching direct flights connecting Goa and Tashkent starting December 3, 2025.
The new service will open fresh travel opportunities for Indian holidaymakers eager to explore the ancient Silk Route charm of Uzbekistan, while also bringing Uzbek tourists closer to India’s tropical shores.
According to the airline, the flight will operate twice weekly, providing a seamless connection between the two destinations. The launch comes just in time for Goa’s peak tourist season, giving travellers an additional international route option this winter.
Industry insiders view the move as a strategic expansion of connectivity under India’s growing outbound and inbound tourism exchanges. With simplified e-visa processes and increasing interest in Central Asian destinations, the Goa–Tashkent route could see strong two-way traffic.
Uzbekistan Airways already connects Delhi and Mumbai to Tashkent, and the addition of Goa marks its third Indian gateway, underlining the growing significance of India in the airline’s regional network strategy.
Travel experts believe this new air link will encourage cultural tourism, adventure travel, and short-haul international getaways for Indian travellers looking beyond conventional destinations.
