IndiGo, China Southern Ink Codeshare Deal to Boost India–China Air Links

In a move set to enhance air connectivity between India and China, IndiGo has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China Southern Airlines to establish a new codeshare partnership. The collaboration, awaiting regulatory approvals, will enable both carriers to market seats on each other’s flights, giving passengers greater flexibility and wider route options.

The proposed arrangement will allow travellers to book a single ticket for multi-leg journeys, enjoy through check-in for baggage, and experience smoother flight transfers — simplifying travel between key cities across the two countries.

IndiGo, which recently strengthened its presence in the Chinese market, said the partnership will create a more integrated network and improved connectivity for passengers flying between India and China. The airline has already resumed daily services on the Delhi–Guangzhou rout
