The passengers were accorded a warm and traditional Goan welcome, underscoring the state’s continued focus on hospitality and visitor experience.

Welcoming the development, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Shri Rohan A. Khaunte, said that Poland remains an important source market for Goa. He noted that charter operations such as these strengthen market diversification efforts while supporting the state’s vision of quality and responsible tourism. The Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving connectivity and positioning Goa as a year-round global destination.

Director of Tourism, Shri Kedar Naik, highlighted that charter arrivals play a crucial role in sustaining international tourist inflow and supporting local tourism stakeholders. He added that growing interest from Polish travellers reflects Goa’s appeal beyond beaches, including culture, wellness, hinterland and nature-based experiences.

The arrival of the Katowice charter further strengthens Goa’s presence in the European market and sets a positive tone for the ongoing tourist season, as the Department of Tourism continues to work closely with international airlines and tour operators to expand charter connectivity.
