Bookings open for daily Kochi–Agatti services as FLY91 accelerates phased network expansion
Regional airline FLY91 has announced the launch of daily non-stop flights between Kochi and Agatti in the Lakshadweep islands, with bookings now open in both directions. The announcement comes as the airline prepares to add seven new stations over the next 90 days as part of a phased expansion of its domestic network.
The upcoming stations include Kochi, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Hubballi, Dabolim, Nanded, and Indore, marking a significant milestone in FLY91’s growth strategy and reinforcing its commitment to strengthening regional air connectivity across India.
Once operational, the expansion will take FLY91’s network to 15 stations, aligned with the airline’s measured and sustainable growth approach. The expanded network will be supported by a fleet of six ATR 72-600 aircraft, with three additional aircraft scheduled for induction within the next 45 days. This phased fleet expansion will enable higher frequencies and the introduction of new city pairs while maintaining operational reliability.
With the addition of Kochi, FLY91 strengthens its footprint in southern India while enhancing access to the Lakshadweep islands. The airline currently operates flights between Agatti and Manohar International Airport (MIA), Goa. The new Kochi–Agatti route offers island residents and visitors greater flexibility and improved connectivity to the Indian mainland through a key southern gateway, complementing existing services via Goa.
Agatti Island, part of the Lakshadweep archipelago, is an emerging tourism destination known for its coral reefs, lagoons, and pristine beaches. Improved air connectivity is expected to support sustainable tourism development, while also easing travel for island residents who rely on limited transport options for education, healthcare, and commerce. The daily Kochi connection is expected to significantly enhance onward connectivity and overall accessibility.
Commenting on the development, Manoj Chacko, Managing Director and CEO, FLY91, said,
“The launch of daily Kochi–Agatti flights adds momentum to regional aviation in India. We are pleased to welcome Kochi into our growing network and to reaffirm our commitment to the residents of Agatti. Aspirational tier-two and tier-three destinations will drive India’s next phase of growth, and improved regional connectivity is key to unlocking that potential.”
The network expansion will begin in early February 2026 with the commencement of daily Kochi–Agatti services. This will be followed by thrice-daily flights on the Rajahmundry–Hyderabad and Vijayawada–Hyderabad routes, along with daily services between Hubballi–Hyderabad and Hubballi–Bengaluru. Subsequent phases will include flights from Nanded to South Goa and Bengaluru, while Indore will be connected to Jalgaon and Hyderabad in the second phase of expansion.
Final flight schedules will be updated in the reservation system in due course.
Headquartered in Ribandar, Goa, FLY91 currently connects nine destinations, with a focus on tier-two and tier-three markets such as Solapur, Agatti, Jalgaon, Sindhudurg, and Kochi, while also operating from regional hubs including Goa, Hyderabad, Pune, and Bengaluru.
