EgyptAir recently arranged a special flight to fly the England Men’s Cricket Team back home from India following their participation in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.
According to the airline, the flight was organised at short notice in coordination with the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the British High Commission to facilitate the team’s travel amid ongoing regional uncertainties.
“It was an honour to arrange this flight at very short notice in coordination with the International Cricket Council and the British High Commission. Considering the current unrest situation, EgyptAir ensured seamless and safe travel using Egypt’s undisturbed airspace,” said Amr Aly, Country Manager – India, EgyptAir.
EgyptAir currently operates five weekly flights from Mumbai and four weekly flights from New Delhi to Cairo International Airport, with plans to gradually increase frequencies towards daily services.
Through its hub in Cairo, the airline offers connectivity to over 80 destinations across Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, supported by its membership in the Star Alliance network.
