The Moroccan National Tourism Office (MNTO) has concluded a three-city MICE roadshow across Chennai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru, aiming to tap into India’s fast-growing outbound segment, which saw a 31% rise in arrivals to Morocco in 2025.
The roadshow, held from March 23–25, brought together over 80 travel trade professionals and highlighted Morocco’s growing positioning as a high-capacity MICE and experiential destination.
Backed by strong infrastructure, Morocco is pitching itself as a destination capable of hosting large-scale Indian incentive groups and events, supported by over 300,000 hotel beds and venues such as Marrakech’s Palais des Congrès and the 30,000-capacity Espace Bab Jdid.
“India is rapidly evolving into a high-intent, high-value market for Morocco. Our focus is now on conversion, deeper partnerships and building long-term preference,” said Jamal Kilito, Country Manager India, MNTO.
He added that investments linked to AFCON 2025 and the FIFA World Cup 2030 are further strengthening Morocco’s readiness for global events and large-scale conferences.
The destination is also enhancing its appeal for Indian travellers through initiatives such as the ‘Access Maroc’ e-visa platform with a 3–7 day turnaround, along with English and Hindi-speaking services.
Beyond MICE, Morocco is witnessing growing interest from India in luxury travel, destination weddings and film tourism, with locations like Ouarzazate emerging as popular backdrops.
In 2025, Morocco recorded 53,697 Indian arrivals and is now targeting around 70,000 visitors in 2026, driven by focused MICE promotions and expanded luxury partnerships.
