Indonesian carrier TransNusa has become the first airline from Indonesia to receive a passenger growth award from Changi Airport Group at the Changi Airline Awards 2026.
The three-year-old carrier won the Top Airline by Absolute Passenger Growth in Southeast Asia award, outperforming both low-cost and full-service airlines operating regional routes from Singapore Changi Airport.

TransNusa started operations at Changi Airport in November 2023 and has since expanded its regional connectivity through a focused network strategy linking Indonesia with key Asian destinations.
Receiving the award from Changi Airport Group CEO Yam Kum Weng, TransNusa Group CEO Bernard Francis said the recognition reflects the airline’s rapid regional expansion and growing passenger demand.
The airline highlighted the launch of new routes such as Bali–Manado and scheduled services to Guangzhou from Bali, Jakarta and Manado. TransNusa also claims to be the second Indonesian airline operating scheduled flights to China.
According to the airline, the award reinforces its position among the fastest-growing carriers in Southeast Asia while recognising its focus on affordable and quality air travel services.
