Adani Airport Holdings, IHG Partner to Develop Five Hotels Across India; Kimpton Brand to Debut in India

In a major development for India’s airport-led hospitality and urban infrastructure sector, Adani Airport Holdings Limited and IHG Hotels & Resorts have signed a managed hotel portfolio agreement to develop five hotels across key airport-linked and high-growth urban destinations in India.

The partnership is expected to add nearly 1,500 keys across multiple hospitality brands and destinations, further strengthening IHG’s expansion strategy in the Indian market while supporting Adani Group’s broader airport city development vision.

The planned portfolio includes the debut of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in India with a hotel in Jaipur. In addition, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express properties are planned within upcoming hospitality-led mixed-use developments across airport cities in Navi Mumbai, Mangaluru and Thiruvananthapuram.

According to the companies, the hotels will form part of integrated airport city developments being planned around key aviation hubs, aimed at combining hospitality, commercial infrastructure and urban experiences within India’s rapidly expanding aviation ecosystem.

Pranav Adani, Director, Adani Enterprises Limited, said the group’s vision is to create world-class destinations that integrate travel, hospitality and urban infrastructure around major airports. He noted that the collaboration with IHG represents an important step in strengthening high-quality hospitality infrastructure aligned with India’s long-term travel and economic growth.

Adani Airport Holdings is currently developing airport city projects spanning nearly 663 acres across multiple cities, focusing on mixed-use urban ecosystems designed to enhance passenger experiences while also driving commercial and economic activity around airports.

Commenting on the partnership, Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said the agreement reflects the growing opportunity within India’s hospitality sector, particularly across gateway cities and airport-led developments witnessing rising demand from business, leisure and transit travellers.

He added that the diversified portfolio spanning luxury, premium and essentials segments will help IHG strengthen its presence across high-growth markets in India, while also marking a significant milestone with the launch of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in the country.

The announcement comes amid accelerating investment in airport-linked infrastructure and hospitality projects across India, as aviation growth, rising domestic travel and urban expansion continue to reshape the country’s tourism and business travel landscape.
