IndiGo has announced the launch of a new daily direct flight connecting Pune to Dubai, set to commence on November 22, 2024. This strategic addition will strengthen IndiGo’s international network from Pune, enhancing accessibility to Dubai, a key destination for both tourists and business travelers in the UAE.
With the launch of this new route, IndiGo will now operate 383 weekly flights from Pune, offering direct connectivity to over 25 domestic destinations and two international cities. The new Pune-Dubai flight is expected to boost economic activity in Pune and western Maharashtra by facilitating easier access to one of the most important financial hubs in the world.
Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed excitement over the new route: “We are pleased to announce daily, non-stop direct flights between Pune and Dubai, a thriving commercial hub known for its luxury shopping and ultramodern architecture. With this addition, IndiGo will now operate over 100 weekly direct flights to Dubai from 13 cities in India, offering a wide choice of more than 225 weekly flights into the UAE from 18 Indian cities.”
Pune, known as a major IT and automotive hub, stands to benefit significantly from the new direct connectivity to Dubai, a global center of innovation and commerce. This route is expected to stimulate trade, commerce, and job opportunities, further strengthening ties between the two regions.
Dubai, often referred to as the “Venice of the Gulf,” is a global aviation hub and the commercial center of the UAE.
