Air France and KLM boost winter season flight operations from India with 50 weekly flights

Air France and KLM have announced expansion in their flight services from India, with the introduction of up to 50 weekly flights to Amsterdam and Paris, Charles de Gaulle, starting from October 30, 2024. This expansion enhances connectivity from three major Indian cities – Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai – and offers travelers more options and flexibility, especially during the peak winter season. The increase marks a substantial rise from the 39 weekly flights offered during the summer.

The added flights will be rolled out in phases, with specific increases on key routes:

Air France

Delhi to Paris: An additional three weekly flights from October 30, 2024, bringing greater convenience to travelers heading to the French capital.

Mumbai to Paris: A second flight will be introduced, adding three weekly flights from December 10, 2024, through February 17, 2025.

KLM

Bengaluru to Amsterdam: Frequency increases to six weekly flights, up from four during the summer season.

Delhi to Amsterdam: A second flight will be added, increasing frequency by three weekly flights from January 14, 2025, through March 3, 2025.

With the airline group’s dual hubs in Paris, Charles de Gaulle, and Amsterdam, customers from India will gain convenient access to over 300 global destinations.

Air France and KLM are deploying their state-of-the-art fleet, including the Airbus A350s, Boeing 777s, and Boeing 787 Dreamliners, for these routes to ensure a premium travel experience. These aircraft offer advanced comfort features, fuel efficiency, and enhanced passenger amenities, adding to the appeal of the expanded flight offerings.

Claude Sarre, Country Manager for Air France-KLM in the Indian Sub-Continent, emphasized the importance of this development: “India is an important market for Air France-KLM, and this development reflects our strong commitment towards our customers in India. By offering increased frequency and convenient connections, we aim to provide them with more flexibility and choice when planning their journeys to Europe and beyond, particularly during the peak winter season.”
