Air Canada has introduced its next-generation cabin concept, branded “Glowing Hearted,” marking one of the airline’s most significant interior transformations in recent years as it strengthens its premium global positioning.
At the heart of the upgrade is the introduction of advanced cabin products across new aircraft, including the Airbus A321XLR and the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner. Notably, the A321XLR will feature Air Canada’s first-ever lie-flat Signature Class seats on a single-aisle aircraft, enabling the airline to expand into new transatlantic routes while offering enhanced comfort on shorter international sectors.
On the widebody front, the Boeing 787-10 will debut the new Signature Plus Suites—designed to deliver a more spacious and private experience. These suites include two-metre lie-flat beds, companion seating for group travellers, quartzite tables, and retractable privacy panels, reflecting a shift towards more personalised and flexible premium travel.
Beyond premium cabins, the airline is rolling out upgrades across all classes. Passengers can expect ergonomic seating, larger overhead storage, and enhanced in-flight entertainment systems featuring 4K OLED screens—ranging from 13 inches in Economy to 27 inches in premium cabins. Bluetooth connectivity, USB-C ports, and AC power outlets at every seat further align the onboard experience with modern traveller expectations. Premium Economy cabins will also feature extended privacy wings for added comfort.
The design language draws heavily from Canadian identity, incorporating elements inspired by natural landscapes and cultural motifs. Highlights include a maple leaf-inspired backlit canopy on the A321XLR and a wave-like entrance structure on the 787-10, symbolising the country’s waterways. Materials such as natural wood grain, bronze accents, and bespoke fabrics add a refined yet durable finish.
The cabin overhaul is part of Air Canada’s broader “New Frontiers” strategy, which also includes upgrades to its leisure subsidiary fleet, expanded lounge infrastructure, and enhancements in onboard dining and digital services.
With this transformation, Air Canada is positioning itself to compete more aggressively in the global premium travel segment, focusing on comfort, connectivity, and a distinctly branded passenger experience.
