Air Dolomiti temporarily takes over Vienna-Venice route on behalf of Austrian Airlines

Air Dolomiti will take over the route from Vienna to Venice and vice versa from June to October 2024 as part of a wet lease agreement with Austrian Airlines. In mid-April, an A320neo of the Austrian airline was damaged. To compensate for the cancellation of the aircraft, Air Dolomiti will take over a route from Austrian Airlines.

From June 1, 2024, the route between Vienna and Venice will be operated by Air Dolomiti with an Embraer E95. The flight programme will remain unchanged, with four daily connections between Vienna and Venice. On board, passengers can expect Air Dolomiti’s catering product, which is regarded as an ambassador of Italian style and taste in Europe. Both business and economy class seats are available.

“The wet lease cooperation with Air Dolomiti allows us to minimize the impact of the damaged Airbus 320 neo. We are delighted to have found a strong partner within the Lufthansa Group in Air Dolomiti,” said Michael Trestl, CCO of Austrian Airlines.
