Tansita Akraritpirom, Head of Commercial, Thai AirAsia, said “AirAsia is reaffirming its commitment in the Indian market by expanding its network to 14 routes with the addition of these two new routes, both of which serve as strategic cities in southern India that bear immense tourism potential for both countries.
“We have seen considerable overall growth in the international sector – this is in part due to positive measures by the government such as visa free entry which have made travel easier and more cost effective, creating an opportunity for travellers to explore new experiences in different countries. We have seen overwhelming response from our Indian guests, looking to explore international destinations as well as visitors from those countries coming to Thailand. Having restored our capacity close to our pre pandemic levels, AirAsia Thailand is well-positioned to cater to the increasing demand.”
