ANA Holdings Takes Full Ownership of Peach Aviation

ANA Holdings, the parent company of All Nippon Airways, has acquired the remaining 7% stake in Peach Aviation from First Eastern Aviation Holdings, a Hong Kong-based firm. With this acquisition, ANA Holdings now holds full ownership of the Osaka-based low-cost carrier.

In a statement following the transaction, ANA Holdings highlighted its strategy to capitalize on the growing influx of inbound tourists. The company noted: “As we anticipate a further increase in inbound tourism, making Peach a wholly owned subsidiary aims to build on its growth, strengthen ANA Group’s business portfolio, and enhance profitability. ANA Holdings will actively work to boost inbound demand, aiming to attract 60 million visitors and contribute to regional revitalization.”

The financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed.

A Decade of Evolution
Peach Aviation was established in 2011 as a joint venture between ANA Holdings, First Eastern Aviation Holdings, and the Innovation Network Corporation of Japan (INCJ), with each entity holding an equal share.

In 2017, ANA Holdings began consolidating control by acquiring a majority stake in the carrier. The company first bought out INCJ’s shares and has now completed its ownership by acquiring First Eastern Aviation Holdings’ stake.

Peach Aviation operates a fleet comprising 16 A320-200s, 17 A320-200Ns, and three A321-200NX(LR)s, serving as a key player in ANA Group’s low-cost travel segment.
