LOT Polish Airlines has expanded its European network with the introduction of daily flights from Warsaw to Thessaloniki, Greece’s second-largest city. The new route, launched just in time for the 2025 summer season, offers year-round connectivity and is designed to provide maximum flexibility for both leisure and business travelers. With this launch, Thessaloniki becomes the latest destination added to LOT’s growing list of European connections, following recent additions like Lisbon, Malta, and Reykjavik.
Located in northern Greece, Thessaloniki is a vibrant city known for its rich cultural heritage, beautiful beaches, ancient ruins, and bustling seaport. It serves as the gateway to the stunning Khalkidhiki peninsula and the scenic mountainous landscapes of northern Greece. As an important center for international shipping and trade, the city also appeals to business travelers.
LOT Polish Airlines now operates flights to Thessaloniki daily during the summer and four times a week in the winter season of 2025/2026. To enhance passenger convenience, the airline offers two different departure slots from Warsaw: on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, flights depart at 9:40 AM, while on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, departures are at 2:10 PM. The flight duration is approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes. Return flights from Thessaloniki are scheduled accordingly to ensure smooth travel experiences.
Travelers can choose between two service classes LOT Business Class and LOT Economy Class offering comfort and quality onboard services. The airline, a long-standing member of Star Alliance, continues to enhance connectivity across Europe and beyond.
Amit Ray, Director Italy, DACH Markets, Malta and India, and Head of Global Corporate and Strategic Sales at LOT Polish Airlines, highlighted Thessaloniki’s significance for Indian travelers: “Thessaloniki is another city that holds great appeal for tourists and business visitors alike. It’s a perfect addition to European itineraries for travelers from India, thanks to its access to the beaches of Khalkidhiki and its commercial importance.”
Passengers from India can connect seamlessly to Thessaloniki via LOT’s direct flights to Warsaw. LOT operates daily nonstop flights from Delhi (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays) and from Mumbai (Sundays and Wednesdays), with onward connections across Poland, Europe, and even North America.
