In a major boost to domestic tourism, the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority (APTA) and the Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 27th June 2025 in a prestigious ceremony held in Vijayawada. The event was graced by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, whose visionary leadership and unwavering support for tourism as a key economic driver continues to empower stakeholders and fuel growth across the state.
As per the agreement, Andhra Pradesh will host the “ANDHRA PRADESH – ADTOI NATIONAL TOURISM MART-2025” from 17th to 19th September 2025 in Visakhapatnam. The MoU was formally handed over to Mr. Ved Khanna, President of ADTOI, by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, symbolizing a strong commitment towards collaborative tourism development and positioning Andhra Pradesh as a leading destination on the domestic travel map.
The National Tourism Mart is set to become a landmark event, featuring a vibrant inaugural session, extensive B2B meetings, curated knowledge sessions, cultural evenings, and immersive FAM tours across Andhra Pradesh’s prime tourist circuits. The event is expected to attract wide participation from tour operators, travel agents, tourism boards, hoteliers, and media from across India, serving as a dynamic platform for networking and showcasing the rich cultural, spiritual, ecological, and heritage attractions of Andhra Pradesh.
This initiative reflects Andhra Pradesh’s focused approach to developing sustainable tourism infrastructure and tapping into India’s growing domestic travel potential. With Visakhapatnam as the host city, the Tourism Mart will offer participants a firsthand experience of the state’s scenic coastline, historical marvels, eco-tourism zones, and spiritual landmarks.
The Andhra Pradesh–ADTOI partnership marks a pivotal step in driving awareness, building market linkages, and accelerating tourism-led development in the region. Stakeholders in the travel and hospitality industry are encouraged to participate in this unique opportunity to explore and promote one of India’s most culturally rich and naturally diverse states.
