IndiGo unveils IndiGoStretch, a new premium business-class experience for busy Indian routes

IndiGo has announced the launch of IndiGoStretch, a premium business-class product tailored specifically for India’s most frequented business routes. IndiGoStretch’s inaugural flight will take off on November 14, 2024, operating on the Delhi-Mumbai route, marking a significant shift for the airline into a higher-tier market offering. The new service was unveiled by IndiGo Founder and Managing Director Rahul Bhatia and CEO Pieter Elbers, under the tagline “IndiGo means Business.”

Coinciding with the airline’s 18th anniversary, IndiGoStretch promises travelers an elevated journey with exclusive features designed to enhance comfort and convenience. Highlights include spacious, coupe-style two-seat configurations with premium seating crafted by RECARO, featuring a seat pitch of 38 inches, a width of 21.3 inches, and deep recline. Each seat is equipped with a six-way adjustable headrest, device holders, USB-C charging ports, and universal power outlets, ensuring a comfortable and productive experience for business travelers. Healthy meal options, curated by Oberoi Flight Services chefs, add to the premium experience.

IndiGoStretch passengers will also enjoy complimentary priority check-in, anytime boarding, advanced seat selection, and increased baggage allowances, starting at 30 kg for checked baggage and 12 kg for carry-ons. Tickets for IndiGoStretch are available for booking on IndiGo’s website and through third-party channels, starting at ₹18,018.

“India’s economy is soaring, and as the aspirations of the Indian society evolve, so must we,” remarked IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers. “IndiGoStretch will create an option for business travelers, seasoned and new alike, to experience business-class travel with comfort and ease. By early January, all Delhi-Mumbai flights will feature IndiGoStretch, and by March 2025, we’ll expand to cover all Delhi-Bengaluru and Delhi-Chennai flights. Over the next 14 months, 45 IndiGoStretch aircraft will join our fleet, enabling us to serve 12 routes with 268 daily flights,” he added.
