Indonesia’s Immigration Department has introduced a new payment system for visa applications, with costs now increasing incrementally based on the length of stay. However, the adjustment does not affect the cost of the 30-day tourist visa-on-arrival (VOA) or the eVOA, which remains at IDR 500,000.
Discussions earlier this year about scrapping the VOA for frequent international arrivals to Bali were shelved, and no changes to this policy have been confirmed. The 30-day VOA or eVOA continues to be the most suitable option for holidaymakers and short-stay visitors to Bali and other Indonesian islands.
Travelers can apply for the eVisa on Arrival online via the official Indonesia eVisa website, with the option to submit up to five applications simultaneously for ease of use by families or groups. The eVOA also provides access to automated gates at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, streamlining the immigration process on arrival and departure. Additionally, the eVisa can be extended online for another 30 days at the same cost of IDR 500,000.
