ITC Hotels Limited has officially signed a management agreement for a new 90-room Fortune Select property in Guwahati, Assam, marking a significant expansion into India’s rapidly growing Northeast market. The upscale hotel is scheduled to open its doors to guests in April 2028.
The upcoming property is designed to cater to both corporate and leisure travelers, featuring modern guest rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, and dedicated banquet and conferencing facilities.
The move highlights Guwahati’s emerging status as a vital commercial and tourism hub. The city has seen a steady surge in travel demand, fueled by major upgrades to its regional air, rail, and road infrastructure. Additionally, its proximity to major cultural and ecological landmarks—such as the historic Kamakhya Temple and Kaziranga National Park—continues to draw robust leisure traffic.

The Guwahati signing aligns with ITC Hotels’ broader strategy to deepen its footprint in high-growth tier-2 and tier-3 markets across India through its popular Fortune brand ecosystem.
