The third edition of the Meet Global MICE Congress (MGMC) concluded in Moscow, reinforcing the city’s position as a leading global hub for business tourism. The two-day international forum, held on 17–18 December, brought together over 2,500 MICE professionals from 37 countries, double the participation compared to last year.
The congress recorded a sharp rise in scale and engagement, with more than 8,000 B2B meetings conducted on the exhibition floor. Around 70 per cent of participants were senior executives and decision-makers, enabling on-the-spot partnership discussions and deal-making.
India emerged as one of the key focus markets at MGMC 2025, reflecting its rapidly expanding business tourism sector. The hosted buyers programme included 53 buyers, with Indian participants accounting for 25 per cent of the total, highlighting growing interest from Indian companies in global MICE collaboration.
The multi-format programme covered themes including MICE destination success, business event effectiveness, experience economy, artificial intelligence and neurotechnology, alongside discussions on future industry trends and international cooperation. A total of 15 business sessions were held over two days.
More than 130 exhibitors from BRICS nations and the Global South participated, representing convention bureaus, MICE operators, hotels, transport companies and destination organisations. Buyers from the Middle East and India formed the largest international contingents.
Speaking at the congress, Sabbas Joseph, Founder, Wizcraft Group, highlighted the strategic role of MICE tourism as a driver of economic policy and global collaboration.
The Meet Global MICE Congress, launched in 2023, has rapidly grown into Russia’s largest international business tourism forum, with Moscow continuing to position itself as a key destination for global meetings, exhibitions and incentive travel.
