IndiGo, Adani Airports Link Loyalty with Duty-Free Shopping

India’s largest airline IndiGo has partnered with Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL) to extend its BluChip loyalty program to duty-free shopping at airports operated by the Adani Group, marking a new step in integrating travel rewards with airport retail.

The collaboration allows BluChip members to earn loyalty rewards on duty-free purchases made through Adani’s digital pre-booking platform. Travellers can browse and reserve products online before their journey and collect them at the airport, earning five BluChips for every ₹100 spent on eligible purchases.

The service is currently available at Adani-managed airports in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Jaipur, Mangaluru and Lucknow, with plans to expand the program to Guwahati and the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport.

Passengers can link their BluChip ID through a dedicated portal, after which reward points from duty-free purchases are credited within 24 to 48 hours.

IndiGo says the initiative is aimed at extending loyalty benefits beyond flights and creating a more connected digital travel experience. “This partnership enhances the value of BluChip by rewarding customers across different stages of their journey,” said Neetan Chopra, Chief Digital and Information Officer at IndiGo.

Adani Airports believes the integration will also transform airport retail by combining digital discovery, pre-order convenience and seamless collection. According to Suchit Bansal, CEO – Non-Aero at Adani Airports, the move reflects a broader push to modernise airport shopping through digital platforms.

Industry observers say the partnership highlights the growing convergence of aviation, digital services and airport retail in India, bringing together the country’s largest airline and its largest private airport operator to create a more integrated travel ecosystem.
