IATO UP Chapter Hosts AI Workshop in Varanasi to Equip Travel Trade for Digital Future

Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) Uttar Pradesh Chapter organised a day-long AI workshop in Varanasi, bringing together travel trade professionals to build capabilities for an increasingly tech-driven industry.

Held at Banaras Hindu University, the session saw participation from around 50 members and focused on making the travel trade “AI-ready” through practical, hands-on learning.

The workshop was inaugurated by Sushma Ghildyal and Pawas Prasoon, with P Vijaysarthi also present. The initiative was coordinated by Pravin Singh Rana along with UP Chapter Chairman Prateek Hira.

Highlighting the importance of the initiative, Hira noted that the session enabled participants to gain practical insights into AI tools tailored for the travel industry, helping them integrate technology into daily operations and business management. He emphasised that AI is increasingly shaping tourism through personalised planning, automation, and improved operational efficiency, while also enhancing traveller experiences through tools such as chatbots.

The workshop concluded with a valedictory session led by Jyoti Rohila Rana and Subash Kapoor, where participants were awarded certificates.
