IHG Hotels & Resorts Expands Luxury Footprint in Rajasthan with InterContinental Resort Jaipur Achrol

Strengthening its luxury portfolio in India, IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Makson India Hospitality Pvt Ltd for the development of InterContinental Resort Jaipur Achrol, scheduled to open in early 2030.

The 225-key luxury resort, comprising 189 guest rooms and 36 villas, will be spread across a 16-acre site along the Delhi–Jaipur Road in Achrol, an emerging leisure and wedding destination near Jaipur. The project will mark the fourth IHG-branded hotel within Jaipur city limits and the second hotel under the InterContinental brand in the market.

Designed as a luxury destination resort, the property will feature four dining venues including an all-day dining restaurant, specialty restaurant, lobby lounge, and pool bar. The resort will also offer extensive event and wedding infrastructure with dedicated banquet venues and a ballroom, targeting the fast-growing destination wedding and social events segment in Rajasthan.

Additional facilities at the resort will include a spa, fitness centre, swimming pool, club lounge, retail outlets, and parking facilities, positioning the property as a comprehensive luxury leisure retreat.

Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, at IHG Hotels & Resorts, said India continues to offer strong growth opportunities in the luxury hospitality segment, driven by rising demand for leisure travel, experiential stays, and destination-led celebrations. He added that Achrol’s blend of heritage, accessibility, and natural surroundings makes it an ideal location for a landmark luxury resort.

Representing the ownership group, Rajan Jhiriwal and Robin Jhiriwal said the partnership aims to create a hospitality destination that combines international luxury standards with Rajasthan’s cultural identity and heritage appeal.
