OUTRIGGER Hospitality Group opens luxury island retreat in Thailand.

OUTRIGGER Hospitality Group has officially announced the opening of the OUTRIGGER Phi Phi Island Resort, welcoming its first guests to one of Thailand’s most pristine island destinations. The property joins the brand’s growing Thailand portfolio alongside resorts in Koh Samui, Khao Lak and Phuket.

Located within the protected boundaries of Hat Noppharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park, the 63-key luxury resort offers a secluded escape surrounded by limestone cliffs, jade-green waters, coconut groves and white sandy beaches overlooking the Andaman Sea.

Jeff Wagoner, President & CEO of OUTRIGGER Hospitality Group, described the resort as a reflection of the company’s long-term commitment to Thailand, emphasizing that the property combines breathtaking natural beauty with authentic local culture and sustainable hospitality.

Accessible only by boat, the resort has been designed around the Thai philosophy of “Nit Thra,” focusing on deep relaxation and meaningful rest. Interiors feature handcrafted furnishings, organic textiles and woven elements inspired by local island traditions. Accommodation highlights include Hilltop Ocean View Pool Villas with private infinity pools, Beachfront Pool Villas positioned directly on the sand, and Family Garden Villas surrounded by tropical greenery.

Dining experiences at the resort celebrate Southern Thai culinary heritage. Mala Kitchen follows the “Samrub Thai” philosophy, balancing flavours, textures and regional traditions using fresh coastal ingredients and local spices. Meanwhile, Edgewater Bar & Grill offers fresh seafood, aromatic curries and tropical cocktails with uninterrupted views of the Andaman Sea.

The surrounding marine national park is regarded as one of Southeast Asia’s richest biodiversity zones. Guests can enjoy PADI-certified diving excursions, eco-sensitive boat tours, mangrove picnics, Thai cooking classes, non-motorized water sports and cultural bead-making workshops inspired by the traditions of the indigenous Urak Lawoi community. Wellness experiences at Zeavola Spa incorporate Southern Thai healing practices and local botanicals, while dedicated family facilities include a Coral Kids Club and teen zone.

The resort has also placed strong emphasis on sustainability, using local organic materials and environmentally sensitive architecture designed to maximise natural light and ventilation while minimising waste. Operating within a protected national park environment, the property aims to maintain a minimal ecological footprint while offering immersive luxury experiences.
