Indonesia’s breathtaking destinations took the spotlight during the Bali and Beyond Mega FAM Series held from November 9-16, 2024. The event brought together travel professionals from South and Central Asia to explore key locations, including Jakarta, Bandung, Bintan, Yogyakarta, and Labuan Bajo. Designed to showcase Indonesia’s natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and diverse activities, the event highlighted Bintan Island as a standout destination. Participants were captivated by its mix of picturesque landscapes, cultural attractions, and thrilling adventures, positioning Bintan as a perfect blend of relaxation and excitement.
Bintan Resorts, a major partner in the event, provided an immersive experience with visits to iconic sites such as the 500 Lohan Temple, Kwan Yin Temple, Sand Dunes & Blue Lake, and the Bintan Mangrove Discovery Tour. The itinerary also featured exhilarating sea sports at Lagoi Bay Beach, including banana boat rides, jet skiing, stand-up paddleboarding, and kayaking. Luxurious accommodations were showcased during site inspections, ranging from beachfront properties to luxury villas and glamping resorts, emphasizing Bintan’s versatility in catering to different traveler preferences.
The FAM trip concluded with a Tabletop Networking Event in Bali, fostering connections between participants and Indonesian tourism providers. This event aimed to promote Indonesia, particularly Bintan, in global markets as a premier destination for MICE, weddings, and unique travel experiences. India was represented by three top travel agents, highlighting the growing interest in Indonesia among Indian travelers. This reinforced Bintan’s status as a must-visit location, further strengthening its appeal in international tourism.
