Topping the list for the second consecutive year is Thailand, reaffirming its status as the most searched Asian destination by European travelers. Closely following are Indonesia, Japan, and Malaysia, while Vietnam makes a noteworthy debut in the top five.
India is also witnessing a significant surge in interest, with growing search volumes from major European source markets such as the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. According to Agoda’s “Europe to Asia Summer Travel Trends” report, Mumbai, New Delhi NCR, and Goa are the top three Indian cities most searched by European travelers for their upcoming summer vacations.
Malaysia recorded the sharpest rise in interest, registering a 20% year-on-year increase in accommodation searches. China followed with a 14% growth, fueled by newly introduced visa waivers for several European countries. Sri Lanka also saw a notable 13% jump in travel searches.
The top five European countries driving travel searches to Asia include the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands. Meanwhile, emerging origin markets such as Greece (+23%), Turkey (+21%), and Poland (+17%) point to a broader pan-European appetite for Asian getaways.
